Yoga and Meditation Classes

At Inner Yogies  we use the spiritual and physical practices of yoga, using asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing principles) and meditation in most of our classes. The Sanskrit word Yoga means union and offers a way for us to unite mind, body and spirit.

Choose from a variety of yoga styles such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Power Yoga; they are all designed to strengthen awareness and create harmony. Our offerings of yoga and meditation classes are here to facilitate you on your journey. Please see our schedule to determine what feels right for you.

Gentle Hatha Flow

Hot Yoga - Heat Level One

The perfect class for students on a new journey.  You will learn the fundamental poses in yoga, explore the connection to breath with movements and find the stillness in meditation.  Seasoned students, who are looking for a gentler practice or a refresher of basic yogic principles would benefit from this class.  In this mildly heated class, we move in and out of poses slowly, with strong focus on safe alignment, and breath.   Practicing Hatha yoga, will allow you to develop strength, mindfulness and flexibility over time.

Slow down, relax and open the body through passive stretching. Our Rest and Restore yoga class is a practice of few poses, gentle movements and props to help hold postures for longer. Look forward to aligning your mind, breath and body while experiencing the stillness of gentle movements. Perfect for all ages and activity levels.

Take your practice to the next level. Vinyasa Flow strings postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. The introduction of heat will allow your muscles and joints to release, encourage full range of motion, while honoring your unique limitations.  This class picks up the pace while maintaining focus on breath, balance, alignment and flexibility.  Whether you are looking to develop unity of the mind and body, improve your circulation and metabolism, or strengthen your cardiovascular system, you will leave feeling stronger, lighter and recharged.  Hot Yoga is known for its detoxification benefits and rejuvenation of the skin.  Cleanse your body of toxins as you stretch, tone and strengthen.

Let’s get to work.  Maintaining the principles of our ‘Hot Vinyasa Flow’, our ‘Hot Power Flow’ is a dynamic, energetic, and fast-paced class.  Students work through a series of poses, moving smoothly from one posture to the next, designed to produce an internal heat to purify the body. Detox, stretch, strengthen and improve flexibility all in one class.  You will leave feeling rejuvenated and empowered.

Yoga Class - Hot Power Flow

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of asana practice, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time.  This type of practice stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility.

Sunrise Flow

Let us Salute the Sun together!  In the yogic discipline, the morning is considered as a “divine time”. It is one of the most beneficial times to practice as an individual’s spiritual energy is at its peak.

Clarity, creativity, and peace of mind are some of the benefits of a sunrise yoga practice.  To achieve optimum personal results, it is recommended to practice yoga in the morning since there are fewer distractions and obstacles prior to your practice. Sunrise yoga brings your body more energy and nourishes you with a positive attitude to fully prepare for the day ahead.

Kundalini Yoga

The purpose of these classes is to connect to your inner light by doing yoga Kriyas that help clear your physical & different energy body so that your able to consciously live an embodied life. We slow movements down, focus within by doing our practice with our eyes closed most of the time, and practice pranayama (breath-work) & engage in mantra meditations.
Yoga Class - Family Yoga

Pilates

Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. It strengthens and stabilizes your core body, which is your foundation, to ensure you can move efficiently while improving your posture, flexibility, and mobility. You can do Pilates with or without equipment and can expect the moves to involve slow, precise movements and breath control.

Karma Class

Being of Service to our community through yoga. Our Karma yoga classes are offered to any attendee by donation only. A portion of the proceeds supports a local charity or cause seeking funding. The styles of yoga taught may vary depending on the teacher and students who attend the class. The class has no typical style of yoga; however, the heat level will always be low. It is a great class for a beginner to try out, and a nice roll of the dice for all yogies seeking something new in their practice. The karma classes are a great way to practice yoga on a budget while supporting a good cause and connecting with others on a deeper level of awareness.

Ānāpānasati, meaning “mindfulness of breathing”, paying attention to the breath. It is the quintessential form of Buddhist meditation, attributed to Gautama Buddha, and described in several sutras, most notably the Ānāpānasati Sutra.

In the stillness of our body we can conquer our mind.  A Reiki Master leads you on a guided meditation focused on love and unity while combining the healing powers of Reiki.  Reiki, an ancient Eastern practice is the art of channeling positive energy while focusing on balancing your chakras or energy centers and allowing self-healing to occur within the body.   Work through deeply rooted believes, feel connected to who you are and learn to heal yourself.

Yoga Nidra

Hot Yoga - Heat Level One

Allow yourself to rest, restore and create positive personal change.  Yoga Nidra is a meditative form of very deep relaxation that has a profound effect on the body, mind and emotions. Students lay down in Savasana and listen while we help you move into a semi-hypnotic state, somewhere between being awake and being asleep. (Different from meditation as you are laying down).  Release tensions and impressions stored in layers of the mind and body from negative core/self-beliefs while aiding in high blood pressure, chronic fatigue, digestive disorders and insomnia.  Whether you are awake or asleep, your deepest layers will go through the journey, and as a result, you will feel the effects of this beautiful practice.  A 45-minute Yoga Nidra practice is equal to 3­4 hours of sleep.

Heat Level Guide

  • HOT aka Heat Level 3 – range from 98-108 degrees.
  • WARM aka Heat Level 2 – range from 85-95 degrees.
  • LOW/Non-Heated aka Heat Level 1 – range from room temperature – 85 degrees.

  • Please register for all classes online, cut off is 1 hour before class start time.
  • Please ensure to arrive 10-15 minutes before class.
  • Our studio is a scent free zone. 
  • Early cancellation must be completed 2 hours prior to start time or a $15 charge will apply along with the use of a class pass.
